A brief Introduction about This Website

This is a hyper-text preparation with multiple computer-based links developed to meet various academic requirements. The Website mainly focusses on all the Tiṅantas (verbal forms) used by the poets Kālidāsa, Bhāravi, Māgha, and Śrīharṣa in their Mahākāvyas namely, Kumārasambhavam , Raghuvaṃśam, Kirātārjunīyam, Śiśupālavadham, and Naiṣadhīyacaritam respectively. The Verb forms of the said Pañcamāhākāvyas are classified and identified by their properties, and the user can get the output of the same with a Clickon Button.

The Salient Features of the Website

    With a Click on Button the user can get the output of -

  • A Grand list of Tiṅantas (Verbal forms) used by the poets of the Pañcamāhākāvyas, namely -
    (a) Total verbs of these Kāvyas,
    (b) Kāvya wise verbs, and
    (c) List of number of verbs on the whole.
  • A verbal form of any chosen verb from the list in the given particular La-kara used by the said poet, and also its Dhātvartha, Gaṇa, Number, Person, Voice etc.
  • All the verb forms of any chosen verb from all the ten La-karas, its Dhātvartha, Gaṇa, Number, Person, Voice etc.
  • Details of Sarga-sankhya and Śloka-sankhya of a chosen verb.

Objectives of the Website

  • To provide a grand list of verbal forms of these great poets with all details and necessary structures.
  • To prepare possible syntactical models with verbs found in the five Mahākāvyas.
  • Observation of the patterns of Tiṅantas laid down by these master poets of ancient lore.

As computer based learning of any subject provides a faster and easier method through electronic access, this website helps to learn and appreciate the excellent effort of the master poets.

In the present day situation, Sanskrit learning is thought to be difficult because of its complicated learning methods. So, in this context, the present website will simplify the learning exercise and helps the teachers, the students and the researchers as a quick reference source.

About Myself

Objective:

I'm passionate to utilise the Sanskrit knowledge clubbed with computer programming in bringing out the Ancient Indian texts in the form of E-text and serve the upcoming Researchers and Sanskrit enthusiasts.

  • Taught Sanskrit for Śāstri (Degree) level in the academic year 2014-2015 and 2018-2019 as a part of UGC - PDF in Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati.
  • Taught Sanskrit for Degree and MA level in the academic year 2013-2014 in Modern Courses organized by SV Vedic University, Tirupati.
  • Taught Computer Applications for Prak-Śāstri (Intermediate) level in the academic year 2012-2013 in Remedial Classes organized by Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati.

Worked and Contributed –

  • Attended the Evaluation work of Combined Entrance Test of CET-2018 which was held at Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati from 30-05-2018 to 02-06-2018.
  • Serviced as the computer programmer for successful completion of the Project of The Mahābhārata Text Preparation in Printable Mode from March 2017 to December 2017
  • Brought out the proceedings of a National Conference on the theme Bhāratīya Bhāṣā Sammelana, organized by Shiksha Samskruti Utthana Nyasa, New Delhi & Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati, during 15th and 16th October 2016 with a role entitled Sub Editor
  • Worked as a Project Fellow from 2012 to 2013 under Multi Lingual Etymological Dictionary Project, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati.
